Fine motor activity in the kitchen

What do you do when you are a teacher and you have a whole lot of left over Chinese chopsticks? Why, make a fine motor activity, of course! We tried this recently in the classroom and it was a huge hit.

You will need:

  1. Colander

  2. Chop sticks

To do:

  1. Place the colander upside down

  2. Place a pile of chop sticks beside the colander

  3. Ask your child to place the chop sticks in the holes of the colander

Note: This an excellent and easy activity to set up in your kitchen which strengthens fine motor skills and will keep your child entertained for ages!
